Ubiquitous Computing
The term Ubiquitous Computing was coined in 1988 by Mark Weiser, who unfortunately passed too early, and made
popular in his article The Computer for the 21st Century.
Ubiquitous Computing describes the vanishing of the computer from the view of the user and the melting of computing power with everyday objects.
At project Fluidum (www.fluidum.org) I have in 2003 and 2004 been trying to answer the question how a scalable infrastructure for such an environment should look like.
